This school year, let your children make DIY backpacks with fabric markers to show their unique style.

We partnered with Tulip Fabric Markers to provide you with three ways to turn a white backpack into a colorful masterpiece that kids will love.

Galaxy Backpack

Everything in the galaxy is there, and your kids will love this starry backpack decoration idea!

Here’s what you need to make a DIY Galaxy Backpack:

  • White backpack
  • Tulip Brush Tip Rainbow Markers
  • Tulip Brush Tip Neon Markers
  • Tulip Opaque Bullet Tip – White, Silver, Purple, and Blue

Use black, blue, dark purple, and light purple markers to paint the backpack in a swirling color to create the appearance of the Milky Way.

Let dry for 24-48 hours. The advantage of Tulip Fabric markers is that they do not have to be heated!

After the background is dry, use opaque markers to draw stars, dots, etc. to complete the appearance of your galaxy.

Let dry and your backpack is ready!

DIY Notebook Doodle Backpack

Turn the white backpack into notebook paper, and let your child draw and doodle as he pleases! I especially like that you can personalize this idea for your child and create a coloring book look!

Here’s what you need to create a DIY Notebook Doodle Backpack:

  • White backpack
  • Tulip Opaque Bullet Tip – Bright Blue
  • Tulip Opaque Bullet Tip – Red
  • Tulip Extra Fine Tip Markers
  • Ruler
  • Pencil

DIY NEON ZEBRA BACKPACK

How fun is this? ! It is so colorful and perfect for tweens or teenagers!

Here’s what you need to make this DIY Neon Zebra Backpack:

  • White backpack
  • Tulip Bullet Tip Neon Fabric Markers
  • Tulip Opaque Bullet Tip Black Fabric Marker

Use a black opaque marker to draw zebra stripes on the backpack. Let it dry completely.

Fill the space between the stripes with neon signs to form a pattern to create a rainbow look.

Let it dry completely and your backpack is ready!
