I love Christmas movies! I can watch them all year long, but during the holidays it’s one of my favorite family activities. There are so many to choose from it’s hard to find time to watch them all during this busy season. It’s great that many of the cable channels play them throughout the season, and if you miss it you can catch it on Netflix or buy the DVD.

Here’s a list of my all time favorite Christmas movies I watch with my family. Hope it inspires you to gather your loved ones close, pop some corn, and enjoy a great movie. Better yet make it a Christmas family movie night with friends and relatives. You can even make it a themed movie night like Polar Express Movie Night.

Miracle on 34th. Stree (John Hughes)
A Christmas classic, Miracle on 34th. Street is one of my favorites. I prefer Maureen O’hara version but the newer version produced by John Hughes is nice too.
I love all versions of this Dicken’s Classic!
National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation is always good for a laugh!
Another family favorite is Home Alone.
A Christmas Story usually plays all day on Christmas Day on TV, but you can also buy the DVD to watch it whenever you want to.
One of my all time childhood favorites was Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. Definitely a Christmas classic!
Escape into Whoville with this classic How The Grinch Stole Christmas. The Jim Carry version is good too!
Finally Christmas wouldn’t be complete with out watching this holiday classic, Holiday Inn. It features our beloved song White Christmas.
