Who says fun themed parties are just for kids?  Not me!  Sure I love to plan and host parties for the grandkids, but adult parties can be just as fun.  I know I’ve said it before, our family loves to throw parties, that’s why we adore holidays and birthdays.  But that doesn’t mean we only host and plan kids’ parties, we’ve thrown quite a bit of super fun adult parties too!

We’ve thrown everything from backyard barbeques to office Christmas parties, New Year’s Eve parties, bridal and baby showers, grad parties, and weddings.  Here are a few ideas to inspire you to throw your next adult party!

adult party ideasA Hawaiian Luau!  A Hawaiian themed party is always a hit.  It’s fun and easy.

Last summer we threw my son-in-law a 40th. birthday party with just this theme.  For added fun we combined it with a roast, it was after all a milestone birthday!

Adult party ideasNot into Luaus?  How about a Farm Themed Party for adults?  No petting zoo required, unless you really want to!  Instead hire a DJ or country band and do-si-do the night away.

That’s just what they did at this grad party!

adult party ideasPrefer something less casual?  This 1950’s Themed Party may be just the thing!

We threw this one complete with Marilyn and Elvis cut outs for my mom’s 80th. birthday.  She picked the theme!   Guests had a blast!

adult party ideasYabba Dabba Do!  A Flinstones Themed party is lots of fun.

It’s a great theme for most any party. We did a Pebbles & Bam-Bam theme for Sheena’s baby shower, she was expecting twins Harper & Sadi!

adult party ideasMardi Gras doesn’t have to be limited to February.  We threw a Mardi Gras themed rehearsal dinner the night before Jaime’s May wedding.

All you need are beads, beads, beads!  A Cajun cuisine menu is yummy too!
