Orange Bang Drink

When we go out for lunch or dinner at one of our favorite local restaurants my grand children love to order this sweet orange drink they call Orange Bang.  It’s sort of like a liquid creamsicle. It costs just about $4 for an 8oz. drink, it can get pricey when you have to order 3 or 4 of them.

I started making the drink at home, so much more cost effective and best of all we can have it anytime we want.

Here’s the recipe, all you need is a blender and a strainer!

Ingredients:

2 oranges

1/2 cup sugar

1 can condensed milk

2 cups water

2 cups orange juice

Directions:

1.  Wash the wax off the oranges and cut into quarters.

2.  Place oranges, sugar, condensed milk, water into blender.

3.  Pulse 6-8 times – you don’t want the oranges to get too chopped up

4.  Strain mixture into a pitcher

5.  Stir in orange juice

Serve well chilled or over ice.  You can store this for a couple of days in the fridge, but you must stir it before serving.
