Banana Que (Sugar Coated Fried Banana Plantain) Recipe!!!
Materials Needed: colander or fry skimmer strainer, 8 pcs. bamboo skewers
No Bake Desserts
ripe saging saba
or banana plantain
vegetable cooking oil
Heat cooking oil in a large wok or pan.
Then drop in the bananas and fry for about 2-5 minutes or until slightly brown.
Sprinkle the brown sugar in the oil and lower the heat to medium-low, don’t stir it until the sugar starts to caramelize.
When the sugar starts to caramelize gently stir. This will coat the bananas with caramelized sugar.
Continue frying, stirring several times so bananas are fully coated with caramelized sugar.
Then turn the heat off to avoid overcooking.
Drain in a colander, fry skimmer Strainer, or in a deep bowl with paper towel to remove excess oil.
Skewer two bananas on a bamboo stick while they are still hot. Do the same for the rest of the bananas.
Serve it with cold or hot drinks.
