6 September Kid’s Party Themes – FREE Printables

September is a great time to throw a party, there are so many fun ideas for a party theme.  Don’t think that just because it’s fall you should be limited to fall themes and colors for your September born child’s birthday party.

Since the weather may be starting to get cooler and unpredictable it’s probably a good idea to host a September party indoor or in a covered area.

Here are some ideas for your September party, I hope you will find something you and your children will love!

Cinderella Party!

In honor of Cinderella’s September 6th. birthday how about a Cinderella Party?  I’m sure your little princess will love it!

You can give out sparkly tiaras, bracelets, rings, and wands as party favors and use them in your decor as well.

I found this adorable “Cinderella Carriage” from the Shopping Mama.  She gives DIY instructions how to make your own using a paper lantern!

I love the idea of framing images of characters and using them in your decor.  I do this all the time to use as centerpieces, on the cake table, etc.  Here are a few printables you can use for your party.  Click here!

Madeline Party!

One of my family’s all time favorite children’s books is the ageless classic Madeline series by Ludwig Bemelmans, and was continued by his grandson John Bemelmans Marciano.  I’ve heard that Madeline’s birthday might just be on September 15.

So for your September born child a Madeline Paris Party might be just the thing!

This fun theme can center around the book which is set in Paris; Eiffle Towers are definitely called for here!  Use them liberally as decor, on invitations, and even as cake pops and toppers.

Serve little sandwiches on sliced baguettes and madeline cookies too of course.

A game of “Follow the Leader” would be fun with your “little guests in two straight lines” behind the birthday girl!

Be sure to snag a copy of your favorite Madeline (Amazon affiliate link)  adventure to use as a guest book!  It will make a great keepsake!

Video Game Party!

Did you know that September 12 is National Video Game Day?  So get your game on and throw the ultimate video game party, your little gamer will love you for it!

If it’s available in your area and fits your budget you might consider hiring a Game Truck.  Click here for more info and locations.

You can make it a party featuring several video games or pick your child’s favorite.  Be sure you have at least 2 game consuls set up so the kids can take turns playing.  But don’t let them sit inside glued to the TV or computer the whole party plan some games and activities featuring popular video games!
