June

June is a great month to have a birthday party, the weather is fine and the kids are out of school for the summer.

It makes party planning so much easier when you’re not rushing around transporting kids to and from school and policing homework.

Summer parties are much more fun because you can take it outdoors, opening up many more fun activities for kids to do, not to mention cleaning up is easier too!

Here are some fun themes for a June birthday party.  Take advantage of the warm weather and have the party in the backyard or at your neighborhood park!

Beach Party!

Nothing screams summer better than a beach party.  Even if you don’t live by the beach you can bring the beach to your place.

Decorate with bright colors.  Make use of inexpensive beach balls and pails you can get at the dollar stores, discount stores, and Amazon. (Affiliate link)
They make great decorations and serving dishes.

Donald Duck Party!

Disney themed parties are always popular, but they seem to center around the mouse or a popular movie heroine and hero, the duck is just an after thought.  Let’s remember the Duck!

June 9th. is Donald Duck’s birthday!  Seems to me that a Donald Duck theme is apropos for a June birthday party. There’s not much out Donald Duck party supplies out there, if you decide to throw one share your pics and ideas!  I’d love to hear from you!

Ice Cream Party!

Everyone loves ice cream and June is National Ice Cream month.  An ice cream themed party would be a lot of fun.

An ice cream buffet is a must at any Ice Cream Party, or make it an old fashioned ice cream shop with vintage party decor.

Oscar the Grouch Party!

June is Oscar the Grouch’s birthday too!  Why not host an Oscar the Grouch birthday party, kids will have a blast being “grouchy”.

Like Donald, Oscar seems to be an after thought for Sesame Street parties which almost always revolve around Elmo and the bird.  Give the Grouch his moment in the spotlight and host a party centered around him!

Under the Sea Party!

In honor of Aquarium month throw an undersea themed birthday party, better yet host the event at an Aquarium if there’s one nearby.

If you choose to have it at home, don’t fret, you can turn your space into an underwater wonderland with inexpensive decor.
